The latest viral and most discussed challenge: find a Spanish name that doesn't have the letters "Carlos" in it.

The latest viral and most discussed challenge: find a Spanish name that doesn't have the letters "Carlos" in it.

On the social network Twitter (or X as Elon Musk renamed it) all kinds of challenges proliferate, sometimes inadvisable and others of a much more innocent nature, such as linguistic ones.

This is the case of the challenge proposed by the Twitter user @porqueTTarg, who came up with a curious proposal: " For the viral challenge that few can overcome: "Say a male name in Spanish that does not have any letters from the name 'Carlos'"

From then on, the tweet had 5.7 million views and more than 4,000 comments. The proposed names that survived the letter hecatomb were varied and debated.

Among the most celebrated names were names like Judith, from the Bible, and without a shadow of C, A, R, L, O, S. Kevin was one of the most repeated, although of dubious Spanish origin.

Guido, Eli, or diminutives like Mimi were also suggested. Some opted for original appellations and suggested things like "Ximix" or began inventing fantasy names. Others tried to sneak in names like "Gwen," "Mei," or "Dimitri," and debates arose over whether they were Spanish names or not.

Among them all, one appeared to meet all the requirements without question: Quintín. A name of Latin origin that was very popular in past decades , thanks to the fact that it is the name of a well-known religious figure: Saint Quentin.
